About

Lyric coloratura soprano Bridgette Brothers is a member of the opera choir and solo ensemble at the Eduard-von-Winterstein Theater in Annaberg-Buchholz, and is currently singing the roles of Ida in Der Fledermaus, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, and der Tau- und Sandmännchen in Hänsel und Gretel. She is concurrently covering Adele, Die Königin der Nacht, and Gretel in the same productions. In the 2024-2025 season, she will cover Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and will be assistant choreographer to director Oliver Pauli for Mein Freund Banbury

During her time at Eduard-von-Winterstein Theater, Bridgette has debuted the roles of Rosetta in Ziesl’s Leonce and Lena, Kitzi Kranz in Blossom Time, and Der Postillion in In Knecht Ruprechts Werkstatt in world and German premiere performances. Other notable roles sung include Gianetta in Der Liebestrank, the Good Witch in Zauberer von Oz, and Jip the dog in Doktor Doolittle.

As a freelance artist Bridgette sang the roles Blonde, Susanna and Zerlina, was a concert soloist at the Berlin Philharmonic and the St. Annenkirche in Annaberg-Buchholz, and performed with the opera choirs of Stadttheater Bremerhaven, Opera Maine, and MetroWest Opera. In 2014, she founded Lyric Opera Berlin, for which she organized concerts and a production of L’elisir d’amore, in which she also sang Adina.

Bridgette holds a Bachelor’s Degree from UMass Boston, where she also played viola in the university orchestra. She is an avid swing and tap dancer, and has recently completed a course in computer programming through Harvard EdX.
